Dear Parents,

We were so excited to see all of our students today!  It is wonderful to be back at school despite the way we ended up here!

Although there are only a couple of days this week, we wanted to connect and share some of the exciting and important updates for Thursday and Friday.

1) There will be new homework posted this coming weekend, however there are many families who did not complete the homework posted Oct 3.  Please ensure you have completed all past due homework assignments to ensure your child does not fall behind in their learning.

2) Halloween Parade on Friday at 8:15am!  ALL students, including both M/W and T/Th Kindergarten classes will be attending school on Friday, October 31 for our Halloween Parade.  Students are invited and encouraged to wear their costumes on that day.  Students should arrive in costume as we do not have the space or time to allow students to change at school.  We would like to remind you that costumes should be age appropriate and modest, without any scary/bloody masks, and no weapons. Students will be participating in a Halloween Parade as they enter into the gym.  Parents are welcome to attend if interested and can make their way to the gym starting at 8am.  We want to use this time to come together, build community, show ways we belong, and celebrate how awesome Le Roi Daniels staff and students are despite the frustration that has been felt over the past weeks.  Following the Parade/Dance in the gym, students will be returning to classes to continue their regular learning tasks for the rest of the morning.

3) The November Calendar and Newsletter will be coming in Fridays message.  Please be sure to read it thoroughly as there will be many updates for the month as well as events and plans that were missed during October.

Again, we are so glad to be back with our students and look forward to continued learning.

Sincerely,

Andrea Taylor - Principal @ Le Roi Daniels
