Dear Parents,

 

Another week is gone!  Where does the time go?

There are some very exciting things happening in the next week, so please be sure read below and mark your calendars so you don’t miss anything.

  1. Fun Lunch – if you want your child to participate, please be sure to place your order on Healthy Hunger BEFORE midnight on Saturday, Sept. 21. The lunch will be brought to the school on Thursday, Sept. 26. Reminder that M/W kindergarten students should NOT order this meal as it is not on their day.
  2. ORANGE SHIRT DAY – students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt on THURSDAY Sept. 26 for our Orange Shirt Assembly. This is NOT a casual day and therefore students should still be wearing their uniform bottoms (pants, skirts) with an orange shirt. The assembly will be at 9am, hosted by Grade 1’s in Rm 10,12 & 21.  Parents are welcome to attend and should arrive at 8:45 to ensure you have time to park and enter the school.
  3. Thank you so much to all the families who have completed all forms (both paper packages and the online forms).  We are only missing 4 online forms (you know who you are :) and then our entire school is completed!  Thank you for your speedy completion of this important school start-up process.
  4. Fees – please be sure to go onto your MyCBE account and pay your school fees ASAP.  We have many exciting fieldtrips already in the works and we need to pay the vendors for these fun students experiences.
  5. The weather has definitely shifted, please be sure you have sent your child’s INDOOR SHOES to remain at the school as we still have a few students who have not brought them.  Winter jackets are also going to start coming in the next few months, please be sure to LABEL your child’s coat as there are often duplicate coats and we want to make sure you child comes home with their correct coat.
  6. Reminder that there is NO SCHOOL for students on Friday Sept 27 or Monday Sept 30. Enjoy your extra long weekend!
