School Update To the students and families of LRD, This past Tuesday morning, our students and staff gathered as a school for a special Orange Shirt Day Assembly. Together, we learned about the importance of Orange Shirt Day and the meaning behind why everyone was encouraged to wear orange. Our Grade 1 students did an excellent job leading our entire school in a Land Acknowledgment, helping us begin our gathering in a thoughtful and respectful way. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the families who were able to join us for this important assembly and share in the learning alongside our students and staff. Have a wonderful weekend. Le Roi Daniels Staff Upcoming Important Dates
Come Volunteer at Le Roi Daniels We welcome and appreciate volunteers who support our classrooms, field trips, and other activities throughout the school year. Volunteers play an important role in supporting our students and school community. As volunteering places adults in a position of trust with students, staff, or school property, all adult volunteers are required to have a valid security clearance. To help families complete the required steps through their MyCBE account, we have created the following resource: Additional step-by-step instructions and information about volunteering with the CBE can also be found here: https://www.cbe.ab.ca/volunteer Thank you for your interest in volunteering and for supporting the students and staff at Le Roi Daniels School. Uniform Requirements: Le Roi Daniels Dress Code & Uniform Information Pedestrian Safety Reminder As a reminder, we ask all families to help us reinforce safe pedestrian practices when traveling to and from school. Please avoid jaywalking and encourage students to use the designated crosswalks where a crossing guard is present. Taking a few extra moments to cross safely helps keep our students and families safe and sets a positive example for all members of our school community. Thank you for your continued support in keeping safety a priority around our school.
