Dear Parents,

What an exciting week!!  We hope everyone had a wonderful time trick-or-treating and the candy supply is well – hidden :)

Please take a moment to read the messages below for your reference:

1)     Family Movie Night tickets are SOLD OUT! Thank you so much to those families who have already purchased and we hope you have a wonderful evening.  Please see the Newsletter for important information regarding that special event.

2)     Thank you so much to everyone for your generous donations to the School Council Cheque Writing Campaign.  We were able to raise over $5300.00!!!

3)     Want to know how your children are doing?  Please go your to MyCBE account where you will be able to see grades and some comments for all subjects.  These marks have been made available effective Oct 31 so please be sure to check it out.

4)     SAFETY – some of you may have heard on the news this week that a young lady was hit in the crosswalk by our school.  This is a significant reminder to PLEASE SLOW DOWN, follow the rules of the road and ensure you are always showing and demonstrating safety over convenience.  Please arrive to school with ample time to have your children walk across to the school using a crosswalk.  Please do NOT stop or park in front of the school. Never j-walk. Do not park or drop off in either of the school parking lots.  We need everyone to do their jobs and show responsibility to keep everyone safe.

5)     Remembrance Day Assembly will be on Thursday November 7 at 10:30 am. The Grade 2’s in rooms 17, 18, and 19 are hosting this special day and ALL students are required to be in FORMAL UNIFORM for this assembly even though it is a Thursday. If your child is a member of Brownies, Guides, Scouts or Cadets, they are invited to wear their uniforms on this day.  We are also inviting parents to attend this Remembrance Day assembly. Please arrive to the school by 10:15am as the doors will be closed and locked at 10:30 as all staff participate in this important assembly and we will be unable to answer the door or phone during this time.

6)     FALL BREAK – Please remember that students will be able to enjoy a lovely Fall break and there is NO SCHOOL for students from Nov 8 - 13.  Classes resume on Thursday Nov 14.

7)     Please be sure to read our November Newsletter and Calendar for all the upcoming information.

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Sincerely,

Andrea Taylor – Principal @ Le Roi Daniels
