Dear Parents,

The sun is shining, the grass is greener and this weekend looks like it will be beautiful for Mother’s Day!

Just a couple of reminders/requests for you….

1)      We are in desperate need of some volunteers for a few field trips this week.  If you have your valid CBE police clearance and are able to help, it would be greatly appreciated.  Please check the dates and the classes that need help and contact that teacher ASAP.

MONDAY (May 13) – Grade 3 going to the ZOO,  we need volunteers for Mr. Hakes and Mr. Lee.   If you are able to help with either of these classes, please email adhakes@cbe.ab.ca   or serglee@cbe.ab.ca this weekend to confirm and receive the itinerary from the teachers.

THURSDAY (May 16)  – Kindergarten is going to GRANARY ROAD -  we need volunteers for Ms. Blue and Ms. Stieger.  If you are able to help with either of these classes, please email aeblue@cbe.ab.ca  or klstieger@cbe.ab.ca ASAP.

2)      School Council AGM is on Tuesday May 14 at 6:00pm at the school in the Learning Commons.  Childcare will be provided.  Please plan to attend this important evening for council and consider putting your name forward for one of the open positions for School Council Executive Members.

3)      Fun Lunch is on May 22 from Swiss Chalet.  Please place your orders before midnight on Friday May 17^th.  T/Th Kindergarten student should NOT order this lunch.

4)      Friday May 17 is a PD day and there is no school for students.  Enjoy the start of your long weekend.

Finally, we would like to wish all those who are celebrating this weekend. Whether you are a mother yourself, honoring your spouse, celebrating your own mom or remembering a mother or grandmother who has passed – we wish EVERYONE a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!
