Hello Parents,

What an amazing improvement in the weather from Monday to Friday!  The students have finally been able to enjoy some much needed fresh air and play time outside.

1. We are excited to share how your children are doing now that we are half way through the school year (scary thought – I know J).  Please be sure to look at your School Engage account to see your child’s report card starting Feb 1.  Please note – CBE does not provided printed report cards anymore so if you are wanting a copy, please print it yourself.  This Report Card is visible for a few weeks only so please be sure to read and print BEFORE February 15 to ensure you have a copy and have seen how your child is doing.   The are no conferences at this time.  If you have a specific question or concern, please email your child’s teacher, otherwise we will be hosting conferences in March to discuss the amazing learning your child is accomplishing.
2. February Calendar and Newsletter will be sent home via email on Wednesday – please be sure to read them as there is lots of important information and many events coming up.
3. School Council meeting is on Tuesday, Jan 30 @ 6pm online.  If you are interested in attending this virtual meeting please email adtaylor@cbe.ab.ca before noon on Monday to receive the meeting link. If you have attended these meetings in the past, you will automatically receive the meeting link.
4. Friendly reminder - as the weather continues to melt and refreeze the snow, please be careful as you are walking to and from the school as there may be icy areas.  We do our best to sand near the doorways but unfortunately cannot add gravel to the field area or far walking paths.  We will hope for an early spring and no more ice!
