Good morning families, 

We would like to share a few important updates and reminders as we move into February: 

• Warm Weather & Appropriate Dress: With Calgary’s changing winter temperatures, we ask that students come dressed appropriately for the weather each day. This helps ensure everyone can safely and comfortably enjoy outdoor recess and activities. 
• February Character Trait – Honesty:  Our focus character trait for February is honesty. Students will explore how being truthful, trustworthy, and accountable for their actions supports positive relationships and helps create a caring and respectful school community. 
• Grade 1 Presentation:  We are pleased to welcome the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AIWC) to our school for special presentations for our Grade 1 classes on Wednesday and Thursday. This is a wonderful learning opportunity for our students. 
• Kindergarten Schedule:  Please note that Tuesday/Thursday Kindergarten classes will attend on Friday. 
• Valentine’s Day Celebrations:  Valentine’s Day classroom celebrations will take place on February 11. Please check your child’s Google Classroom for class-specific information and details. 
• Upcoming No-School Days:
• • February 12 & 13: Teachers’ Convention – no school for students 
  • February 16: Family Day – no school
