Hello Parents,

Well winter has definitely arrived with a vengeance!  Therefore we have lots of winter reminders for you:

1. As we are now into the winter months with the weather to match, we would like to remind you to please ensure your children are dressed for the wet and cold.  It is very important to make sure all winter gear is labeled as we have many duplicates in the building and we want to make sure the right clothing goes with the right children, not to mention they may not be able to tell the difference between one pair of black snowpants from another. :)
2. Roads are slippery and can be dangerous – please be sure you are ALWAYS setting a good and safe example for those around you.  This includes using a crosswalk and never j-walking, parking away from the school or bus stops and walking to the destination, always arriving early for drop off and pick up (especially for bussing) and driving carefully to keep everyone safe.
3. Late buses – as we know with winter weather, there are often delays in traffic, including buses. Please be sure to use the bus app to determine if there are any delays before school.  If there are significant delays (60min +), please try to carpool with other families to ensure your children get to school for their best learning.
4. Uniforms in the winter time: although it is chilly out, uniform expectations are still required.  We have many girls who are wearing leggings under dresses – leggings are NOT part of the uniform!   Students can wear tights (they have the feet attached) or they can wear navy DRESS pants instead of the dress, but leggings are not an option.  Please ensure your child is wearing appropriate uniform items.  As a friendly reminder, students in the dress, should wear modesty shorts or tights to ensure their underwear cannot be seen while playing or during gym time. :)
5. Fun Lunch – Friendly reminder that our next Fun Lunch is on Thursday November 28.  If you have not yet ordered and would like your child to participate, please be sure to place your order on Healthy Hunger before midnight on Saturday Nov. 23.  Mon/Wed Kindergarten should NOT order this fun lunch.
6. School Fees – there are still a few families who have still not paid their school fieldtrip fees, please ensure those are paid before the end of November as they were due in September.  Thank you so much.
