Hello everyone,

We have many information items for the last week of school so please be sure to read below to make sure you are not missing anything. :)

  1. 101 Dalmatian Tickets – if you have not yet returned your ticket order form, please be sure to do that before the last day of school on December 20.
  2. Fun Lunch is on Wednesday, December 18.  If you would like your child to participate, please be sure to place your order before midnight tonight (Friday)!  Reminder that T/Th Kindergarten should not order this meal.
  3. Thank you so much for all the amazing donations that have come in this week.  We will share a grand total of all the items in next Friday’s update email.
  4. All students had the opportunity to participate in a Tennis residency during PE this past week.  Many showed great enthusiasm and interest in the sport.  We have attached some information regarding programs and camps if your child is interested.    CBE Scan Document150854.pdf 
  5. Uniform ordering updates : Reminder that the next purchasing window for uniform begins next week on Wednesday December 18th, and will run until January 31st 2025.  If you need new uniform items, please be sure to order during this time. Also….

·        Due to the Canada Post strike, we are currently unable to ship out packages to home, and any packages to be shipped will go out once the strike is over. We recommend that parents choose the In-Store Pick Up option to avoid any delays.

·        The Store and head office, will be closed from end of day Saturday December 21st, and will re-open on January 2nd, 2025, at 10am. Any orders placed during this time will be filled in January.

  1. GRADE 3 STUDENTS ONLY –  will have the opportunity to play recorders in Music in the New Year.  If you would like to purchase and keep your own recorder for your child, please go onto your MyCBE account and click and pay for the optional recorder.  Orders will only be accepted until Dec 19th.  Students who do not purchase a recorder will be able to borrow one from the class set we have at school.  The mouth pieces will be sanitized between each students’ use and will not be allowed to go home for practicing. 
  2. Grade 2 choir students will be showcasing their talents at the beginning of caroling on Thursday, Dec 19.  Parents are invited to come and watch as well as join us for some Christmas caroling cheer at 1:30pm.  If you would like to come, please plan to be at the school by 1:15 to ensure you have time to find a seat.
  3. Lots of activities during the upcoming week :

·        Monday, Dec 16- Students who formally celebrate Christmas as part of their religious beliefs and cultures are invited to wear their fancy, formal dress attire for a special photo opportunity to celebrate Christmas (like we have done for Eid, Diwali, Lunar New Year etc).  This is NOT A CASUAL DAYstudents who do not culturally celebrate this holiday are expected to be in FORMAL UNIFORM.

·        Tuesday, Dec 17 - CASUAL DAY - All students are invited to wear any colour that can be found in Christmas lights.

·        Wednesday, Dec 18 – CASUAL DAY – All students are invited to wear a Christmas sweater

·        Thursday, Dec 19 – CASUAL DAY – All students are invited to wear Santa hats, elf ears or antlers.  Parents are invited to join us on this day for carolling in the gym at 1:30.  The Grade 2 Choir will also be preforming during this time.

·        Friday Dec 20 All students are invited to wear PJs for the day. This is the last day of school before the break.
