Dear Parents,

I cannot believe we are heading into May already!

1)       As the weather is continuing to get warmer, we know that it can get quite hot outside and inside the school.  For the months of May and June, students are welcome to wear shorts as part of their uniform, including Mondays for Formal uniform days. They are still expected to wear their Green Cardigan (not the vest) for formal days, however they will usually put them in their backpack after uniform check. Please ensure your child’s name is written inside their sweaters!

2)       Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity through your donations of bottles and cans.  The Kindergarten team raised $220 and will making a donation to the Bird Sanctuary as well as creating some plants to gift to the Senior’s Center in our community.  Thank you again!

3)       We are in desperate need of volunteers to help with the Grade 3 field trip to Fish Creek on Monday May 5.  If you are able, interested and have your CBE Police Clearance, we would LOVE your help!  Please email one of the following teachers to let them know you are able to help them.

4)       Thank you to all those who entered the draw for a free parent book.  The winners will be announced on Monday and books will be sent home with your children so please be sure to check their backpacks on Monday!

5)       As a new month is beginning – please take a moment to read the May Calendar and Newsletter as there are MANY events happening this month.
