Dear Parents,

We hope you all had a wonderful Fall Break and were able to enjoy some time together as a family!  We have 5 weeks until Christmas break and there are MANY activities happening so please be sure to read our Friday messages and check your child’s Google Classroom because we don’t want you to miss anything and we are working hard to learn so much in the next 5 weeks!

1. 2. Parent – Teacher conferences will be happening on Thursday Nov 27 (3:30 – 8:00pm) and Friday Nov 28 (8:00-11:00).   Please be sure to sign up for your designated time to meet with your child’s teacher.  The booking window opens at 7am on Monday Nov 17 and can be accessed on your CBE account on the left hand side. Students are welcome to attend, however not required for these conferences. Kindergarten also has conferences during the day on Nov 27 and there are NO CLASSES for Kindergarten students on that day.
3. Book Fair – there will be a Scholastic Book Fair to coincide with conferences the last week of November.  Students will have an opportunity to browse the book fair, create a list of wanted items and then bring money to shop – details of times and dates will be sent next week.  Please do NOT send money until it is your child’s designated day and time.  The book fair will also be open to parents during conferences which is a great opportunity for Christmas shopping 😊.
4. School Council – ONLINE on Tuesday Nov 18 at 6pm.  If you are interested in participating in this online meeting, please email adtaylor@cbe.ab.ca by 3pm on Monday to receive the meeting link which will be sent out Tuesday morning.
5. Fun Lunch is Thursday Nov 20 and orders must be placed by midnight on Saturday Nov 15 if interested in participating.  Please remember we are unable to accept outside food deliveries (Skip, Door Dash etc) on that day as it is very busy for staff on  fun lunch days.
6. Please remember to send an email to your child’s teacher if they need a photo retake on Nov 24 or 25.  Only students who have sent in an email request will be sent for retakes.
7. Grade 3 students are going to Heritage Park next week!  Please be sure to check your child’s Google classroom to ensure you know which day they are attending (there were some changes from the Nov calendar sent home at the end of October).  There are still a few volunteer spots needed so if you are available, interested and have your CBE police clearance, please connect with your child’s teacher to see if they still need help.
