To the students and families of LRD, 

We are excited to begin a new school year and look forward to welcoming both new and returning students and families to Le Roi Daniels! Our first official day of classes begin on Monday, August 31. 

As we prepare for the year ahead, our school office will officially open on Wednesday, August 26. Families will also receive a welcome email from their child’s classroom teacher on Thursday, August 27. This email will provide an introduction from the teacher and help families prepare for the start of the school year. 

To help make the transition into a new school year a positive one, all Le Roi Daniels students and families are invited to join us for an Ice Cream Social on Friday, August 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

This will provide students with an opportunity to meet their teacher, visit their classroom, and become familiar with the school before the first day of classes. 

To help us accommodate all our families, we ask that you attend during the following times based on your family’s last name: 

Last names A–K: 11:00a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 
Last names L–Z: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 

Once your child has had an opportunity to meet their teacher and visit their classroom, please stop by our main entrance on your way out for an ice cream treat! 

A special thank you to our Le Roi Daniels Parent Association for generously providing funding for this event. Please note that we only have enough treats for students who will be attending Le Roi Daniels this school year. 

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back and to a wonderful year ahead at Le Roi Daniels!
