Dear Parents,

It was so nice to see so many of you here for the Family Movie Night!  We hope you all enjoyed yourself and can now enjoy the day at home with your children.

There are a few updates for next week so please take a moment to read below so you and your child do not miss anything.

1. Student will have the opportunity to participate in a Yoga residency during PE.  They will be practicing their stretches, breathing and building their muscles all at the same time.
2. As the weather and roads are shifting into winter, we would like to remind you to please ensure you and your children are following the safety expectations for drop off and pick up.  Whether that is at the school or at a bus stop.   At the school – please remember there is NO DROPOFF in either school parking lot.  Please park across the street, use the crosswalk and walk across to the school. Please be mindful to never block driveways or alleys.   At the bus stops – please do not block driveways, crosswalks or park in the area where the bus needs to un/load.  We want to make sure we are representing LRD and TLC well within our communities. Reminder that bus drivers can dismiss Gr 1-3 students at the stop, even if a parent is not there.  Please make sure your child knows what to do, who to go with or how to get home on their own, especially as the weather gets worse.  Recommendation –connect with a few families at your stop and make sure you share phone numbers.  You never know when you will get stuck in traffic – have a plan!
3. Fun Lunch is on Wednesday Dec 20 and must be ordered on Healthy Hunger before midnight on Friday Dec 15^th.   Tues/Thurs Kindergarten students should NOT order this Fun Lunch.
4. Thank you so much to all of you who have already sent in your donations for the Ronald McDonald House project.  We are still welcoming donations until Friday December 15^th.
