Good morning Parents,

Words cannot express how proud I am of all our students for the amazing job they did last night during our Lion King production!  Each one of them worked diligently on learning the words, actions and perfecting their intonation both for speaking parts and singing!  They all deserve a great big pat on the back and high-five!  :)

I would also like to thank all of the parents who helped to represent LRD in a positive way at First Alliance by remaining in their seats, not yelling and ensuring their children were showing respect for the church and their belongings. I am however disappointed by those families who allowed their children to take balloons from the decorative circles in the church foyer as the school now needs to replace those archways since the church was using them this upcoming weekend for their services.  I would like to ask you to partner with us in teaching your children that we NEVER touch things that don’t belong to us and that we ALWAYS need to be respectful when visiting other places to not destroy someone else’s hard work.  Even when it is enticing, it is not ours and we should not touch it!!

The end of the month is fast approaching and there are some important events coming up so please be sure to read below so you do not miss anything.

  1. School Council – if you are interested in attending school council online April 23 @ 6:30 pm, please email adtaylor@cbe.ab.ca before 3pm on Monday, April 22 to receive the link.  If you have attended in previous months, you will automatically receive the invite.  We will be discussing some “big purchase” items with the funds raised through our casino.
  2. YEARBOOK – if you are interested in purchasing the yearbook, please be sure to place your order and pay online through your CBE account, under optional school fees by April 30.  Unfortunately, late orders will not be accepted and we will not be ordering extra books to sell at the school.
  3. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
  • Gr 3 classes are going on a nature walk on Monday, April 22 and we still need volunteers for Rm 5. If you have your police clearance and are able to come for this trip, please email adhakes@cbe.ab.ca

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather today!

Sincerely,

Andrea Taylor - Principal @ Le Roi Daniels
