Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe we are entering the last week of February already! Please take a moment to read the updates below:
1. If you are interested in participating in our ONLINE school council meeting on Tuesday Feb 27th @ 6:30pm, please email adtaylor@cbe.ab.ca before 8am on the 27th to have the meeting link sent to you. Any parents who have participated in the past will automatically receive the link.
2. PINK SHIRT DAY is on Wednesday Feb 28th. This is a day we recognize and encourage inclusion, acceptance and promote kindness. Students are encouraged to wear a pink shirt with their UNIFORM bottoms on Wednesday Feb 28th. This is not a casual day so jeans should not be worn, please wear your uniform bottoms.
3. Fun Lunch will be delivered on Wednesday Feb. 28 for those families who pre-ordered. If you have ordered fun lunch and your child is away, their lunch will be donated unless you call the school before 11am that day and request us to hold it for you to pick up later that day.
4. USED BOOK SALE- As many of you know, we historically have Scholastic Book Fair in March during conferences, however this year we moved our Book Fair to June and will be hosting a USED BOOK SALE during conferences. Families are encouraged to look through their books at home and if you have gently used books (not damaged, ripped, colored on or water damaged) that you are wanting to purge and donate to the school, we will gladly accept them. Please send any donations to the school between February 1 – March 20. Books should be age appropriate (for children 10 years or younger). During conferences in March, students will have an opportunity to visit the used book sale and choose some new reading material for themselves. All books will be $5.oo or less and all funds raised will go towards purchasing new books for the Library! Any unsold books, will be donated to charity. We thank you in advance for your donations.
