Dear Parents,

We hope you have survived all 4 seasons that have appeared in Calgary this week!!

The month is already in full swing, with many more exciting events coming up.  Please take a moment to read the upcoming important information so you don’t miss anything.

  1. Solar Eclipse on Monday – it is recommended for all students to bring and wear their sunglasses that day for the bus ride home. Please ensure they are well- labelled.  Students will be expected to keep them in their backpacks until the end of the day.   The school and bus are not responsible for lost or broken glasses. We will be adjusting our outside lunch time to ensure that students are not outside during the peak hours of 11:50-1:50 (prime time of 12:45). We are asking you as parents to please also discuss eye safety with your children and remind them to NEVER look at the sun.
  2. Reminder to please send your child’s costume pieces to the school next week and please have them labelled so they don’t get mixed up.
  3. We are working through all the ticket orders – if you have not yet ordered, please do so ASAP.  Tickets will be sent home the week of April 15th
  4. As we have done for the past year’s performances, we will be selling a special treat in honor of our production.  Please watch for a “Lion” cookie order form to come home on Monday.  Orders must be placed by Thursday April 11th  and will be delivered the week of April 15th.
  5. YEARBOOK reminder – if you have not yet ordered your yearbook (please double check in your school purchases tab), please be sure to do so before the end of April. You can order on your CBE Account under optional school fees.  We will not be ordering any extra yearbooks this year so they must be pre-ordered.  Yearbooks will arrive in June.
  6. Tuesday April 9 – FANCY FORMAL ATTIRE for those families who celebrate EID.  If you formally celebrate EID and will be starting your celebrations that evening, please wear your fancy clothing on Tuesday for our Yearbook photo. This is not a casual day (no jeans) and all students who do not celebrate this holiday should be in uniform.
  7. Friday April 12 – FANCY FORMAL ATTIRE for those families who celebrate VAISAKHI.  If you formally celebrate Vaisakhi, please wear your fancy clothing on Friday for our Yearbook photo.  This is not a casual day (no jeans) and all students who do not celebrate this holiday should be in uniform.

As always, we hope you have a wonderful weekend and fingers crossed all this white stuff melts and spring finally comes to stay J

Sincerely,

Andrea Taylor – Principal @ Le Roi Danielsdownload
